Intervention Teacher on Special Assignment (ToSA)

My name is Mr. Sean O'Neil, and I have had the pleasure of serving the Baldwin Park Unified School District for over 22 years.  I interned and taught at Foster Elementary School 22 of those years where I taught various grade levels from third to sixth grade. This year I have taken the position of intervention teacher and specialist at Central Elementary School to help mitigate learning loss due to over a year of quarantining and virtual learning. I'm excited to be helping each and every student work towards their potential to meet their educational goals.

I've attended various colleges to obtain my degrees and credentials.  I first attended UCLA for my Bachelor's Degree and shortly after that I went back to school to obtain a second degree from Cal Poly Pomona in botany and horticulture.  I continued on at Cal Poly Pomona to finish my secondary university education where I received my Teaching Credential and a Master's Degree in Education. As you can see, school has been a big part of my life and my success.

I firmly believe that secondary education is the key to success for our Central Eagles. As a result, I encourage each and every student to do their homework, study, read, pay attention in class, ask questions when they don't understand and do their best to reach their educational goals. As the great author of Winnie-the-Pooh, A. A. Milne, stated, "Promise me you'll always remember that you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." If our students can remember this and always believe in themselves, the sky is the limit.

Let's have a great 2021 - 2022 school year, Eagles! Let's SOAR!
